By education, I mean an all-round drawing of the best in child and man in body, mind and spirit” Mahatma Gandhi These words of Gandhi ji resonate with the ethos and philosophy of VIDYA, amply brought to light by the spectacular celebration of the VIDYA Bal Vihar School’s Annual Day on 10th December, 2022 at the Panchsheel Park, New Delhi school campus. School was bubbling with most vibrant environment created by the art work of students and teachers. It was one of the most anticipated events of the school in which all the teachers, staff members and students were actively involved. Parents, Sponsors and Friends of VIDYA were invited to encourage and inspire the young children.

The highlight of the day was the cultural programme aptly called ‘Colours of India’ choreographed by Ms. Manju Prasad, which held everyone spell bound. As we all know, dance has no barriers it is a universal language, it’s something that everyone can feel, understand and definitely enjoy. The different dances representing India’s vast cultural heritage was surely national integration at its best! The dances of Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Goa, Mizoram, Odisha and Finale were, in particular, outstanding. The children were delightful and cast a spell over the audience with their earnest, well-practiced, perfectly synchronized performance.
The range was diverse, the rich colourful costumes an ever-changing kaleidoscope, the back ground score, narration and the fluid movements of the dancers was mesmerizing! The Chief Guest’s address, at the end of the performance, was very inspiring and motivating.
