In B Block park sector 36 Noida,a peepal tree surrounded by bricks, stones, leftover garbage was seeking help to make over. During the morning and evening walk many of the residents used to discuss about the pathetic condition of the peepal tree that was unable to even breathe properly. Some suggested it’s the duty of the Noida Authority, others said why does not horticulture department Noida take the responsibility. One lady suggested write a letter to concerned official signed by the residents of the Sector.
Suggestions, advice and words kept doing the rounds when one fine day Smart Bhartiya Nari group decided to take the initiative. The author of this article, club advisor Smart Bhartiya Nari took the initiative and shifted fifty bricks from the ground. A morning walker took the pictures and a small video was made and shared on the active sector 36 Whatsapp groups. And then started the mission. Director horticulture, supervisor B block park, Mr. Uppal president RWA and many active residents supported the movement. Unity is strength and everyone tried to pitch in. Noida horticulture department came to rescue. The labour was called and duties were given. Smart Bhartiya Nari brigade was also alert. The labourers were encouraged and praised for the good work. They worked daily from 9am to 5 pm for 3 days and the result was clean surrounding around peepal tree. Smart Bhartiya Nari group invited all the residents to take a selfie with free Peepal and requested all to generate a feeling of saving tree wherever required.
Now all the residents of sector 36 Noida are ready to do more good work. The story of little squirrel was remembered that in future whenever the saving tree in Noida will be discussed, SBN group will be remembered for saving trees. A small step matters a lot. Let’s all take an oath to do at least one good work daily and I promise you better world.
