56th Durga Puja celebration at Matri Mandir Safdarjung Enclave was after 2 years covid times with gaiety.
1st Oct,2022 Panchami Day at Matri Mnadir Maa Durga this year is said to have come on an elephant from kailash Prabat her ‘sasural’/ in-lawshome.
Her 4 children Ganesh, Kartika Lakhi Saraswat accompanied her.
It is the Sharad season.
At Matri Mandir on Panchami Day 30th Oct,2022.
The traditional event_Ladies fair “ Ananda Mela” was organised to add colour to the festivals before puja rituals began fulfilled cultural shows and competitions held.
“Ladies fair” Ananda mela prepared mouth watering snacks and home made traditional Bengali sweets. Home made snacks were attraction of the event Mutton chop, fish chop, prawn pakora Bhetki fish fry, chips, Kolkata mutton ghugni, veg ghugni, Dahi Bhalla, ghaal, moori were some of the delicies on sale! Home made sweets: Bhapa Dahi seta Bhog, Mati sapta + maybe more!!
With Maa Durga’s Blessings Here are some participants at the Ananda Mela who were awarded a prize received recognition for their culinary skills!
A Certificate ‘IFB Spice Secret class “ was also given.
