On the auspicious occasion of the Pran pratishtha in Ram Mandir all the colonies across Delhi celebrated it in one form or the other. The temples across Delhi were beautifully lit up and offerings were continuously being made in the form of Bhandara, bhajans and sangeet. The rwa across the city again held a function or event to commemorate the joyous occasion.
In Anand Niketan, Nandigram was recreated in the colony on 21st Jan 2024 to commemorate the Pran pratishtha ceremony to be held on 22nd Jan in Ayodhya. The kids were dressed up as Ram, Lakshman and Sita ji and a jhanki was taken out with them across the colony.
The role of Sita ji was enacted by Shagun Marvah, daughter of Charanjit Marwah while Ramji and Lakshman ji were portrayed by the kids from outside the colony. Shagun is a class 10th student and a very active participant in most colony events so it was only natural that she would be roped in to portray Sita ji.
All the youngsters, elders and children took part very enthusiastically in this function. A Rath Yatra was taken across the colony which culminated in Dussehra park. In the Dussehra park they were seated so that Aarti could be done. After the Aarti, bhajans were sung and little children gave a beautiful performance. Prasad vitran took place after this lively performance. It was a beautifully organized event which brought in much cheer and excitement with devotional fervor.
