Like every year in the navratras, different households held Mata ki chowki on each of the nine days. Residents of the colony participated in each of these occasions whole heartedly and with much fanfare. The ladies sang bhajans and partook the Prasad.
On the very first Mata ki Chowki that took place in Sushma Ji’s house, another was arranged by Vinita Popali in the Dussehra park where Bansuri Swaraj, the New Delhi candidate from BJP for the upcoming elections, was also invited. The Acharya ji who was invited to sing bhajans was very famous and he brought forth an environment of devotional fervor which engulfed all those present.
Navratras chowkis were held in these house in Anandniketan: 1st Chowki was held in Sushma ji house. 2nd at Ms Anand’s, 3rd at Chikita ji’s, 4th at Ms Sharma, 5th in Richa’s house, 6th at Deepa, 7th at Jyoti ji’s place, 8th at Meenakshi Chanda and 9th Mata ki chowki at Ms Tripta’s house.
The nine days brought in a rich flavor of festivities, bhajans and Prasad vitran. The navratras always bring so much joy and gaiety in the colony.
