Significant improvement in blood sugar observed
Yog Vigyan and Maanav Kalyan trust organized a seven days long camp in Anand Lok Park no1 starting 1st may, Monday till 7th May Sunday, 6am to 7:30 am. This camp was conducted by district head Shri Rajesh and other trained teachers of the Yog Vigyaan and Maanav Kalyan Trust. The main topic of this camp was “Diabetes- prevention and control”.
The 7 days Yoga camp was an experiential, introductory course to Yoga theory and practice where one can get a glimpse of a yogic lifestyle to prevent and control a very common lifestyle disease Diabetes. Around 25 people registered for the camp and they were present at 5:45am on the first day for the same. PSRI Multi Speciality hospital, Shekhsarai staff was present on the first day to check the blood pressure and fasting sugar of the participants and the same was recorded on their forms.
Everyday programme covered Yoga Asanas, Pranayama, Kriyas, Yogic concepts and Diet for the control and prevention of Diabetes. Through these powerful processes, this 7 days yoga program presented to its participants a possibility to access and re-configure their life and health in a way that improves quality of life and productivity.
After seven days of Yog and lifestyle practice, on the last day of camp again sugar was tested. It was found that for all those who had followed the diet plan along with Asanas practice, the sugar value had come down significantly. Attendees also shared their experiences of camp with all. The participants from Anand lok expressed their gratitude towards the organizers and felicitated them with bouquets.
In the end all the participants were served Coconut water to replenish the body, and healthy protein sprouts and choker biscuits were also served. The attendees also thanked all the organizers of the trust. The Camp was a great success and will be continued for next three weeks in nearby colonies also.
