On August 10th, 2024, the residents of Anand Lok came together for a joyous celebration of creativity and patriotism as part of the Independence Day festivities, with a special painting and drawing competition for children at the DVCC community center, where young artists had the opportunity to express their love for the nation and vision for the country through they colorful and imaginative artwork under the theme “Mera India.”
The competition started at 11:00 AM and children from various age groups, ranging from under 4 to 14 years, participated in the competition, filling the venue with vibrant colors and inspiring depictions of their vision of India. Armed with their colors and drawing boards, the children created remarkable pieces, which showcased not only their talent but also their deep connection to the spirit of Independence.
The event turned out to be a grand success, thanks to the participation of the young residents and the dedication of the coordinators, Ms. Neetu Sharma and Ms. Eesha Sharma. The children poured their hearts into their work, and two winners were selected from each age group for special recognition.
This competition not only allowed children to express their artistic skills but also instilled a sense of pride and love for their country. All participants received special recognition for their efforts and contributions. The prize winners, were honored during the Independence Day celebrations on August 15th at Park No. 1. The event successfully brought the community together, creating an inspiring and fun-filled environment for the children to learn, express, and take pride in their country.
The organizers thank everyone involved for making the event memorable and inspiring young minds to honor the spirit of Independence.
