Environment-conscious residents, who understand how hazardous the E-waste is for each one of us when not disposed properly, made the campaign – like every year – this year also a big success.
It was a joint effort made by the change makers of Kailash Dham, some other residents of Sector 50 like Sonia Kansal and Madhu Mittal, the office staff of KD and last but not the least the collectors from the company that recycles the E-waste according to their levels of peril.
The collection drive took place on 15 October, Saturday. Proud that we have saved so much E-waste from going into a landfill or being thrown away carelessly; thus saving our soil and water from getting further contaminated. This drive has been happening just before Diwali since last three years.
The company that collects the E-waste is a Noida based organisation. It also collected old clothes and other items. Also, with more and more E-waste collector companies coming up, I feel, that may be good news. We may have more options to give our waste away to a certified and genuine waste collector.
