On 22nd July, Carlton was bestowed with a lesson on happiness by Hare Krishna Movement by Iskcon. Iskon is about to open a temple in Sector 43, and paid a visit to Carlton to impart the knowledge of the Bhagavad Geeta, through music and chants. “We always have some function or the other organized in the society but this was the first one where Iskcon followers came and guided us into meditation and spirituality, which was a refreshing change and appealed to people of age groups, I hope we have more of these” a resident mentioned.
The evening began with the singing of a few hymns and a talk on how to attain happiness followed by a musical performance by Iskcon followers. The whole aura of the evening changed, and everyone left feeling positive and energized.
