Alvina Wins Silver

Alvina Parvez (PH4), a Grade 9 student at Amity International School, was named the Silver awardee for the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition (QCEC) 2023. She won this award for her essay titled ‘Why Does Your Voice Matter?.
QCEC is the world’s oldest international writing competition for schools and has been delivered by the Royal Commonwealth Society since 1883. The competition aims to elevate youth voices and enhance their creative language skills. In the past decade alone, the competition has engaged over 140,000 young people, 5,000 schools and 1,000 volunteer judges.
Alvina was adjudged Second amongst the thousands of young people, from 60 commonwealth countries,who participated in the competition. Team Samvada congratulates Alvina!
