A Budding Artist Well Known in Def Col

Thirty eight yr old Akshar Bhan (D -198) is a talented singer and a budding artist well known in the Colony as a founder and singer with the popular Def Col Jammers group which performs every Sunday evening in different parks. His grounding comes from having learnt Hindustani classical music from the age of 5, from Ustad Mujahid Hussain Khan later shifting to Rock music while at school and then as a student of Delhi School of Music. Currently he is learning and singing with Delhi Chamber Choir under Nadya Balan as a tenor which is a classical music choir. As for his future plans and ambitions regarding music Akshar says, “I want to continue singing classical Chamber music as well as explore music production and make my own music, but most of all I would love to be a playback singer one day and hope for a chance”. Here’s wishing all the best and hope his dreams come true.
