Covid times have changed everything and we at AIKGA have also changed our ways. Accordingly all our monthly lectures were going online as usual but there were all the members were craving for each other’s physical company.
Now that the times have come back to the normal we decided to hold our first physical meeting post Covid in the district park.
It was a chilly winter afternoon but the spirit of our members was very high and mood upbeat. Everybody was excited to meet and greet each other and we all were eager to share our gardening experience and experiments with each other.
It was heartening to see that all members turned out on time.
Our meeting started with Show Talk as our association is going to hold its Annual flower show in the month of February in Gulmohar club.. So all the details about the various competitions, filling up of forms and giving entries was discussed with all. After that one of our members Vijay Laxmi took an interesting quiz based upon plants which was enjoyed by all. It was very informative. Christmas caps were given to all to celebrate the festival and to add colour to the meeting followed by goodies prepared by our members. There was dhokla and home made delicious chutney by Madhulika Bansal any Parveen Mahajan, yummy sandwiches by Sarita Aggarwal, hot tea by Smita, home made delicious Paneer by Dolly narang ( she makes the most delicious Paneer). Hot delicious samosas by Meenakshi Gupta, Chikkis and gajjak by Sadhana payal, Artie Garg and Neelam sinha and gingerale brought by Sushma Gupta, chips and pop corns brought by Neeru Aggarwal and Sadhna payal.
It was such a fun filled event enjoyed thoroughly by each and every member post Covid.
