Unit 39 comes out with its first Newsletter and Unit 42 Sushant Lok revived
Unit 39 Gurgaon is coming up with its first Newsletter in July. It will be published online, every quarter. The Newsletter will be divided into four seasons, the first one being Summer-Monsoon. Recipes, self-composed poems, success stories, book reviews, expert advice, facts, question and answers along with the history of AIKGA will be a part of the first edition.
Convenors – Ila Sharma, Poornima Savargaonkar, Beena Jaikrishnan, Mentors – Hema Ganapati and Renu Sood along with Editor Volunteers – Nandita Mahajan, Mona Bhardwaj and Priya V K Singh have worked hard to make this Newsletter a keepsake for all garden lovers.
Unit 39 arranged a Question & Answer session with the Convenors and Mentors on 16th June. Keeping the hot month and vacations in mind this session was kept on Zoom platform. All queries were answered patiently in fact many questions kept pouring into the group even after the session was over. The experienced and knowledgeable Conveners answered all queries.
The Unit was also informed about the revival of Sushant Lok Unit 42 which was graciously agreed upon by the Head office. The Convenors of the Unit 42 are Anita Wagh and Sujata Jain. Treasurer – Reena Gupta. Mentors are Sukirta Chopra and Indira Mishra. The Unit will commence its operations from July 2023. Members of Unit 39 are given a chance to choose the unit they want to be members with. One member can be a member with one Unit only; this rule applies to all AIKGA Units.
AIKGA will be holding its OBGT ( Organic Basic Garden Training) from 10th July to 20th July 2023. This is an online training program. Held from 11am to 12.30pm on Zoom platform. The last session will be held on 20th July at the head office in Gulmohar Park, N. Delhi. Candidates have to provide their notes made during the training and a written test to be eligible to get a certificate of OBGT.
