AIKGA Unit 39 Gurugram, had its annual picnic on 20th January to Vedic Farm near JB Knowledge Park, Faridabad
The annual picnic was held at Vedic Farms belonging to Sangita & Amit Gupta. A picnic cum a talk and demo by Ms. Jayashri Sharma a Nutrition therapist at HIIMS Hospital Jaipur was arranged. Year 2023 has been announced as The International Year of Millets by UNGA and our country is leading this mission.
A bus was arranged to pick members from fixed spots, some used their own transport and reached the venue. Over seventy members attended the fun-filled day. A lamp was lit and with Ganesh Vandana the day proceeded at the farm.
Demonstration and mouthwatering snacks made from millet were shared and enjoyed by everyone. The farm had a beautiful bamboo bridge, pond aquaculture, boating, Gir cows bedsides acres of farmland. Recipes were shared and everyone returned happy and content. AIKGA is now looking forward to its annual Flower, Fruit and Vegetable show being held at Gulmohar Club, New Delhi on 18th & 19th February 2023.
