More than 50 members attended the annual general body meeting of the RWCS.
Prez Govind Sharma greeted all the members and welcomed them. He took up
some issues regarding the sector and the association.
He said that the membership of the RWCS on 15 July 22 was 325 which is very less. By going house to house we have added within two months 225 members and we are today at 550, which is the maximum in last six years. All the members applauded the prez for this achievement. He further added that out of 1000 houses in the sector we are still short by more than 45% membership, which we are now trying to add.
There are three major problems that are there in the sector.
First is Parking in the sector. Instead of fighting it in the court of law we are trying to get permission from NA to park in the vacant land behind Shiv mandir and NS Public School. After that the extra load in front of I Care and Apollo will be taken care of.
On the parking a resident raised the issue of drivers who park their cars 24 X 7. They drink at night, play loud music and create all kinds of nuisance.
To increase the parking it was proposed that boundary walls of the parks be shifted inside by a few feet but there are some residents who wrote to Noida authority against it and got the proposal stalled.
Second, is the problem of stray dogs and pet dogs harassing the residents, which is not unique only for sec 26 but a national problem. A society has been formed with the association of all RWAs. They have taken the case in the high court. We expect some relief from the court for the RWAs.
Third is the problem of frequent power cuts. We have tried to get all the trees in sector pruned and free the electric wires from the tree branches which has reduced the power cut during storms and rain. We have requested the department to do an audit of all the transformers and replace those that are outdated and worn out.
Things are improving and whatever is possible within our means we are doing our best. I request to everybody that keep personal issues aside and see what you can do for the sector.
The badminton court is generating very good revenue for the RWCS. We managed this without spending even a penny from the RWCS kitty.
Subsequently the Prez answered all the questions of the members as well.
