In July 2008 Collegium of Senior Citizens Welfare Association was formed with the objective of providing senior citizens social, academic, cultural and healthy opportunities and implementing effective measures for social security and welfare of its members. Important issues projecting seniors related important issues to be taken up through RWCS and Club-26.
The New Executive Committee was formed in December 2023, HC Malhotra was elected the President and Balbir Singh Sindhu the General Secretary. The renewal of registration of the association is pending since July 2023 due to non-submission of documents to Dy. Registrar Meerut by the then President. We believe that even the charge to the New Executive Committee is not handed over yet.
However, the newly elected Executive Committee President HC Malhotra has increased its activities by meeting the members personally and celebrating the Birthdays and Anniversaries of its members every month.
On 29 April 2024 birthday of OP Mehta (6 March), DC Gupta (7 Mar), V K Gupta (12 Mar), RK Bajaj (18 Mar), Mukta Jain (20 Mar), AK Jain (21 Mar), Surender Kumar(22 Mar), VP Sardana (22 Mar), Wg cdr Prabhakar (24 Mar), HC Khanna (10 Apr), Asha Chathley (18 Apr), Ram Motiani (19 Apr), JS Badan (20 Apr) and Anniversaries of HC Khanna (1 Mar), BS Thapliyal (4 Mar) and SP Gupta (13 Mar), Prem Vashishth (12 Apr), MS Dhami (21 Apr and SN Gupta (27 Apr) was celebrated in Club26 restaurant. There was very low participation in contributory lunch, only sixteen members attended the event. On 29 Apr in Club26 restaurant there was another outside group of thirty-five members of Senior citizens that landed. Sudhir Puri had organized this lunch where HC Malhotra President and Balbir Singh Sindhu General Secretary of Collegium were special invitees. They presented the gifts to few members of the group, Birthdays and Anniversaries were celebrated.
