Government Dispensary also known as Urban Primary Health Centre as it is called now. It is located on the campus of Suncity- is like an oasis in the desert. Though it is a government dispensary the facilities offered by it are amazing. Therefore, it is vital to make residents of Suncity aware of these facilities to make their lives easier. It remains available to them within walking distance for their emergency needs. The centre works under the health plans set by the Government of India and organized by the Government of Haryana at the state level. It has DR. Ravi Dalal as its medical officer and a staff of 12 in different departments.
A visit to the Centre would educate you about the various activities provided by them which are free of cost. Below is a list of some of their activities to let you know how helpful it could be at the time of your need on a day-to-day basis within their working hours. One can visit them for, OPD, and vaccination. Lab tests N.C.D. check-ups, basic oral health care, emergency medical services, and treatment for new mothers, besides these facilities which are free for all, The centre organizes medical camps for different ailments every month according to the schedule received from the government. Their camps in January 2024 include camps on Leprosy, routine vaccination for children and maternal health program for pregnant women, their camps on World Heart Day, cancer awareness and family planning organized last year have been very successful.
The centre also pays attention to the needs of senior citizens as many of our senior citizens live by themselves and need attention and guidance to live a healthy life. In October 2023 the Centre organized one such camp and provided know-how on how to live a better life.
It not only treats you of the ailments but also provides free medicines to the patients.
The Centre cares for infants, women, senior citizens and also school-going children. Health check-up programmes are organized with different schools in the area besides basic check-ups. Children between the age group 10-16 are given vaccines for tetanus and diphtheria, and they are advised on diet, hygiene and outdoor activities. In February and August, De-worming Day is observed in the schools. Centre’s efforts to keep citizens from childhood to old age healthy are recommendable and one must take advantage.
In short, if residents of sun city visit the Centre and take advantage of the facilities mentioned sun city would be the healthiest township in Gurgaon.
