All our parks were designed years ago with the access to enter through a zig zag entryway or a narrow passage, it has never been changed or replanned to allow entry for wheelchairbound or kids tricycles to enter.
It is time we request access gates be changed so that wheelchairs can get an uninterrupted and smooth ramp entry from ground level into all the parks. The RWA’s should survey the parks to assess requirements in each area so that ramp access can be provided in all parks in a planned and phased manner.
Also, there is a lack of access for the mobility of the physically challenged in most the Noida markets. The markets have not been designed keeping in mind the requirements of the physically challenged, and anyone with mobility challenges cannot reach the shops due to the lack of any ramp in the markets.
This may further need to be taken up as a separate concern for a revamp of access areas in the markets.
