Donating to charity can be a major mood booster. The knowledge that you are helping others is hugely satisfying and, in turn, can make one happier and more fulfilled as the emotion of compassion and kindness brings out the best of humanity in us.
Trinity kids club recently organised a Charity Day (GARAGE SALE) on 17th November for security staff, part time and full-time helpers. Many Trinitians contributed towards this wonderful cause by donating old and new items like blankets, clothes, toys, utensils etc for the sale.
Groups of three to four kids, full of hope and enthusiasm, collected stuff from residences. The groups had an overwhelming response from residents for this noble cause. Later, the kids sorted the collected items also enthusiastically, for the sale.
The sale, held at Trinity club, became a bustling and vibrant place for a few hours where domestic helpers, guards, and housekeepers visited along with their kids to participate. Many of the residents too walked in to help out their domestic helpers with a gift. The sale ended at 7:30 pm in the evening, with kids doing the accounting of the sales with the help of some senior volunteers. Money collected from the sale was donated to the Harmony House foundation.
