The essence of a community living lies in its ability to come together and celebrate the different cultures and traditions.
This year our B-7 RWA society conducted three significant events – Dandiya evening, Karwa chauth and Diwali get together.
On 21 Oct for the first time in our pocket a dandiya evening was organised. The ladies of our B-7 dressed in their vibrant chaniya choli gathered to dance on the rhythmic beats of dandiya music. Snacks was served after the energetic garba session followed by tambola games. It was altogether a fun-filled evening.
Karwa chauth, the spirit of love and devotion took centre stage on 1st November. The married women of our society assembled at the big park and observed this special day by fasting and coming together for the evening Pooja. The sight of all the beautiful ladies in their best attire with intricate mehndi designs was so heartwarming. Special arrangements were made for mehndi application.
Diwali get together was organised on 4 Nov by our RWA team:
It was a memorable event of the society. The big park of our B-7 was transformed into sea of lights, the decorated stage with live music, dj and the game stalls by the kids of B7, were some of the attractions of the evening.
Children performed traditional dance and were awarded a token of appreciation. Guests who graced the occasion with their presence were MLA Naresh Yadav, federation Chairman of federation of RWA s Mr Rajesh and secretary general Ms Ameena and our ward counsellor Jagmohan Mehlawat.
The highlight of the evening was the ramp walk by our senior citizens. It was so pleasing to see all of them coming together and be a part of the celebrations.
The events have helped us to come together, learn from each other and appreciate the beauty of our diverse traditions.
Here’s to many more years of celebrations and togetherness.
