1.Traffic on the periphery road 2. Tree pruning 3. Security concerns 4. Blocked manholes 5. Dirty unkempt back lanes 6. Illegal vendors.
This is the sad situation, of the A category colony, the New Friends Colony. Residents are extremely vexed, by these problems but things don’t seem to be improving. The civic bodies don’t seem to be doing enough, to solve the problem.
Satish Arora, complained of lack of lights, in the B block senior citizen park and the adjoining road. Repeated complaints to the RWA has not been fruitful.
Issue after issue, the topic is brought up, in Samvada but the issues remain, where they are.
A few residents, are extremely proactive but others are like the pigeon, who shuts its eyes, on seeing the cat. The pigeon feels, the cat will go away, if he shuts his eyes. It’s the problem, of the entire colony and if the colony does not act collectively, it cannot be solved. Every single resident, has to be proactive, to win over the situation. The MCD employees have to be chased and pushed, to get the work done.
It’s an interesting conversation on the colony group, where residents are conversing on ways to eliminate problems and find solutions.
