Ruskin Bond in his Mussoorie retreat floated into my thoughts as I looked out from my own perch nestled high up in my flat balcony on a rather pleasant March morning. Seeing bright colourful flowers of spring reminds me of Robert Frost’s poem: I wandered lonely as a cloud that floats on high o’er vales and hills, a host of golden daffodils… tossing their heads…!
Reminded me of our own Kukenhof garden, on both sides of Shanti Path in the heart of Lutyens Delhi – beautiful tulips of every colour, hue, shape!
Indeed, a thing of beauty is a joy forever!! Hopefully next spring we shall have our own “Tulipa” in the heart of Emerald!! That’s going ‘vocal for local’. Haan, ab Dilli of ‘Deen-e-ilahi and secularism’ doore nahi.
Sitting cozily with my 24×7 shadow, my little Siamese – It’s a little paradise on earth!!
God bless the universe. Breathe in calmness. Exhale out worries.
