Mr Mohatta (S100) called me up at 7.45 pm saying an injured peacock has been seen in his building. In consultation with our Beat officer, Parveen Kumar, we deputed three guards to take the bird to R21, a pet hospital. When our guards reached there, Mr Tuhin, caretaker of IOC guest house on the GF, had already called a wild life caretaker. Finally, the injured bird was handed over to the concerned doctor. A rescue memo was prepared. Thanks everyone for rescuing the National Bird.
