A resident complains that people of Sector 41 are facing a grave issue that’s affecting their daily lives. With no rules and regulations in place for vehicles plying on sector roads, the noise pollution has become unbearable. Vehicles move at high speeds throughout the night, honking horns and disrupting the peaceful atmosphere that residents deserve.
The absence of speed limit indicators and sign boards has led to a free-for-all situation, where heavy vehicles, tractor trolleys, and tempos move unchecked, causing noise pollution and disturbance to residents. The main entrance of the sector lacks any vehicle checking mechanism, further exacerbating the problem.
It is imperative that the RWA takes immediate action to address this issue. The residents of Sector 41 have the right to a peaceful night’s sleep after a long day’s work. To achieve this, the RWA must install speed limit indicators and sign boards to regulate vehicle speed and implement strict measures to control vehicles plying on sector roads from 10 pm to 7 am.
Additionally, the security guards at the sector entrance should be trained and empowered to stop heavy vehicles, tractor trolleys, and dumpers after 10 pm, and only authorized vehicles with written permits from RWA or police should be allowed to enter the sector during restricted hours. Furthermore, honking should be strictly banned in the sector to reduce noise pollution.
In absence of elections, the residents have started feeling that present RWA’s credibility is at stake . It is failing to provide solutions to problems. It is essential that the RWA takes the concerns of the residents seriously and acts promptly to restore peaceful nights to Sector 41.
By taking immediate action, the RWA can demonstrate its commitment to the well-being and comfort of the residents, and help create a more peaceful and serene living environment in Sector 41.
