In this edition, it gives me immense pleasure to introduce you to Ms. Bharti Sharma who resides in Espacia (Tower 35/ 1501). She is the Senior Director Academics with the GD Goenka group, looking after 115 schools Pan – India.
Ms. Sharma has worked for 30 years as principal in top schools namely Amity International and Ryan International. She has been associated with CBSE in all their innovative reforms as a core committee member.
Ms. Sharma entered the education sector by chance when she had gone for her son’s admission. Having majored in physics from Delhi University and being a science scholar, she was offered a teacher’s post. Since then, it has been no looking back.
Ms. Sharma is the recipient of the prestigious President’s National Award for principals in 2004, the CBSE National Award in 2003 and the prestigious State Award in 2002. Further, she has to her credit the Excellence Award from the Institute of Economic Studies, the Dr S Radhakrishnan Memorial National Teachers’ Award, the Global Peace Award, the Samman Patra from Delhi Government and numerous other awards in appreciation for her work in the education field.
Ms. Sharma has also authored several books on myriad education aspects like Innovative Pedagogy, Child Psychology and Quality Education. She has also been invited as a speaker in various seminars not just in India but also by the education boards of several other countries.
