As we bid farewell to 2022, the New Year celebrations and marriage festivities at the Gymkhana Club made a huge splash. Along with the fervour and excitement there was an accompanying rise in the noise levels which afflicted our eardrums with unerring regularity, well into the wee hours of the morning. Those of us living opposite the Club were particularly affected. Dinesh Kumar (Treasurer SCRWA) encouraged Residents to lodge complaints and share details with him so that SCRWA could take a stand. Among others, Mr Kamal and Mr Ravneet Singh did the needful. The SCRWA team lodged a complaint with the SHO Sector 29. As a follow up, a complaint was registered with Commissioner of Police, Administrator HUDA and other concerned officials. The Gymkhana Club officials were issued a notice pursuant to the aforesaid complaints and they assured us of their compliance with the prescribed guidelines.
Since then we have reclaimed the luxury of a peaceful sleep at night. We are grateful to Dinesh Kumar and Team SCRWA for their fruitful efforts.
