Vibrant Celebration of Holi at RW&CS
The spirit of Holi illuminated the grounds of RW&CS on the night of Mar 24, as residents came together for a memorable celebration steeped in tradition, fun, and togetherness. Unlike previous years, this year’s auspicious time for the Holika Dehen ceremony was at 11 pm.
RWCS ensured a vibrant and engaging program for all age groups. The evening commenced with a cultural extravaganza featuring the dynamic performances of the MaujaMauja Group, captivating the audience with their energy and rhythm.
However, the main part of the event was to impart the significance of Holi to the younger generation. A play depicting the age-old tale of Holika, Hiranyakashipu, and Prahlad was staged, enchanting children and adults while instilling in them the essence of triumph of good over evil.
Amidst the cultural show and theatrical performances, crisp pakoras and thandai were served. The lawn of RW&CS transformed into a lively hub of activity, with families and friends coming together to revel in the joyous spirit of the festival.
As the night unfolded, everyone joined in the tradition of playing Holi with flowers.
