Green Park divas foster bonding
In this day and age of social media we are still very secluded to a great extent more so because of individual mobile phones that have become an extended limb. Many times inspite of living in the same neighbourhood and in close proximity to each other we are not aware of each other’s existence. So it was great to discover over the last one year, so many similar minded individuals in my Green Park and Green Park Extension community.
Green Park Divas get – together started last year in May 2022. As the name suggests, all the members in the group are Divas in the true sense. I still remember the very first meeting where I knew absolutely no one and it still brings a smile on my face when I think of it, where I was even hesitant to start a conversation.
How time flies! With 26 members on board from the Green Park community, I now know each one so nicely – what they do or what their likes are. I look forward to each get-together as they make the gathering so much fun. We play games, Tambola, irrespective of the different age factor, we still enjoy it to the fullest. I consider it my safe place where there is no judgment and pretension. Many times we have made the occasion special by wearing Indian ethnic wear with matching accessories. I clearly remember on one such occasion of Holi one of the team members had especially designed a board game based on things used in Holi function. We sang songs and danced to glory.
Now we have only one get-together left. I really hope we will be starting a new chapter soon. I absolutely love the bonding and ties we have created within our Green Park community ladies. It has provided us a platform where we could be ourselves with no pretension at all. I want to thank me to Meeth Gupta Ji who started with this great idea of get us all together.
