We have heard about several nasty road accidents from time to time but what happened near the Jahanpanah Forest – Kalka Public School intersection one morning in the last week of March`23 was a bolt from the blue. A car with four teenagers inside was being recklessly driven and took repeated sharp turns at high speed near a traffic intersection. As expected, the car turned turtle after skidding for some distance. The impact of the accident was so severe that it left the bystanders rooted in their place. Fortunately, there were no fatalities even though the outcome of the accident could have been much worse. The occurrence of such incidents anywhere is alarming but when this happens in a densely populated area, it is definitely deplorable. Car drivers would do well to follow traffic rules and not endanger lives through their indiscretions.
