On 16 March, the 5th edition of Midnight Basketball Tournament took place at Gejha village, Sector 93. It was organized by a basketball academy that trains Gejha children free, with the support of an IT company. Over 400 attendees, comprising children, parents, and villagers, gathered to witness the tournament’s exciting matches. Mr. Kataria SHO phase 2 police stations graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Aside from the basketball matches, various engaging activities such as musical chairs, group dances and shooting games were arranged for the audience’s enjoyment. To enhance the viewing experience, a projector screen was installed to display the scoreboard, while stadium lights and music recreated the ambiance of a real stadium. Special recognition was given to outstanding achievers Neeraj from senior category and Govind from junior category of the academy, including Sonali Kumari, a Gejha village native who represented Uttar Pradesh, and parents who consistently supported their children and the academy.
