A fun-filled and experiential day-trip for ladies was organised by United B-Five Residents Welfare Association under the leadership of Ms. A Leela Rao to a Church in Sardhana and Jain Temples in Hastinapur on Saturday, January 7, 2023. Both these places are of historical importance and of tourist interest. Around 20 ladies mainly of B-5 Block of Safdarjung Enclave attended the trip and showed great camaraderie.
They visited Church Basilica of the Our Lady of Graces and were warmly welcomed by the Bishop of Sardana. For many, this was their first exposure to the customs of the Church and all appreciated the value of mutual respect towards other religions. This was followed by a short visit to the town of Hastinapur which is the birth place of three Jain Tirthankars. The ladies enjoyed scenic beauty of the surrounding area and learnt about the Jain values of austerity and simplicity.
It was a memorable trip organised by United B-Five RWA keeping in mind the choice of historical and religious places.
