Indeed, worth sharing the exciting progress in transforming our Vasant Kunj into a hub of health and well-being, thanks to the dedicated efforts of our hon’ble councillor Sh. Jagmohan
Mehlawat ji, we are witnessing the beginning of a vibrant era of sports activities in our neighbourhood, besides helping us fulfil our dream to make Vasant Kunj swasth (healthy) and swachh (clean).
Over the past months, we have seen successfully organized events such as a Cricket Tournament, 4 Cyclothons, Badminton Tournament, and the ‘Run for Unity.’
The response and enthusiasm from our various RWA Sectors/pockets have been overwhelming. Now, as we stride forward, we are delighted to announce a Table Tennis Tournament scheduled for this month, followed by a Football Tournament next month, and a Chess Competition in January 2024.
These events are not just about sports; they are about fostering a sense of unity, well-being, and community spirit. We invite each and every one of our citizens to participate, cheer, and support these initiatives. Involvement of our citizens is helping us make our Vasant Kunj a healthier and happier place for everyone.
It is also time now to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our community partners, without whom these initiatives wouldn’t be possible.
To begin with, our grateful thanks to Indian Spinal Injuries Centre for their unwavering support towards for Organising Cyclothon-3 while celebrating the SCI Day.
Similarly, we must express gratitude to the Fortis Hospital for Organising Cyclothon-4 with their commitment to our community’s well-being and healthcare, on the World Health Day..
Also our gratitude towards DLF Promenade Mall for their generous contributions and partnership in making “ Run for Unity “ memorable, celebrating the Sardar Patel Day on 31st October.
Senior Citizen Welfare Association also deserve our gratefulness for their valuable participation and guidance.
We also must express our gratitude towards our neighboring pockets: D6 Santushti Apartments for their support and engagement in Organising Badminton Championship.
Similarly , RWA D6 Kaveri Apartment for their contribution towards Organising Table Tennis Tournament.
Citizen Forum-Vasant Kunj, as usual, appreciates the collaborative efforts towards building healthier and happier environments, and hopes for all of us to come together, showcase our sporting talents, and create memories that help strengthen the bonds of our community.
