A Library Cum Recreation Room Inaugurated

A library cum recreation room was inaugurated on November 6 in the RWA office in the C block market. The occasion was graced by eminent guests Prabhat Kumar (IAS), Dev Dutt (IAS), Yogesh Sharma (FONRWA president) and Mahesh Saxena (general secretary – Noida Lok manch) TS Arora the general secretary RWA 39 welcomed the guests. Many other important guests Anil Khanna (RWA 41), AK Sehgal (RWA 40), Arun Gupta, KK Seth, Dr Leena Singh and many others along with the residents were also present.

Opening a library is like opening a broad gateway to learning, endless knowledge and world of progressive outlook. The book enthusiasts in the community have sought such a facility in the sector since long and residents who patiently looked forward to facilitation take on the semblance of organized shape, have welcomed the new library. Those who could join the inaugural engagement, shared in the pleasure of taking this small step forward together.

Words speak volumes and books carry many worlds within their folds. The library is indebted to the many residents who have contributed pre-loved as well as new additions from popular authors for the purpose of the library in mind. Grateful to the generosity of the silent donor, who contributed anonymously towards the library’s furniture and infrastructure, the space was quickly able to acquire new bookcases for the books now housed neatly on shelves. While appropriate newspaper and magazine stands were provisioned by someone, some others have made thoughtful provision of newspapers and magazine subscription for the full year. The number of books already received is overwhelming. Enrolled library members would be able to borrow, read and return these as per expected discipline of a regular library.

The library effort is a small but earnest beginning. In a busy world, and a buzzing society, the larger idea is to carve a qualitative corner for reading and reflection. The aesthetically comfortable space hoots cheer for meaningful connects with the spoken, written, and printed words.
