The spirit of Christmas is synonymous with spreading joy, love and kindness. AURA hosted a string of festive events on 25 December that brought people together and spread the ‘spirit of sharing’ this holiday season.
The day began with a noble endeavour to prioritize the health of the community’s unsung heroes. A team of volunteers from Art of Living and AURA collaborated to organise a free health check-up camp for house helps, drivers, security guards and housekeeping staff, from 11 am to 4 pm, ensuring convenient access to maximum participants. A multi-speciality hospital played a pivotal role in facilitating the general check-ups at the camp, which included vital measurements such as blood pressure, blood sugar, body mass index, bone mineral density and ECG assessments.
The dedicated doctors were present to provide basic medical consultations, ensuring that the participants received the necessary guidance and support for their well-being. Volunteers Sanyam and Saumya orchestrated a seamless organization and management of provisions for the health camp, ensuring its success. The camp attracted nearly ninety individuals who were benefited from the services provided. As a gesture of appreciation, refreshments were offered to all attendees following their check-ups, thereby creating a warm and inviting atmosphere of care and well-being.
At the sunset, the festivities kicked off – enchanting young children and evoking a sense of wonder and merriment. Children gathered near the beautifully decorated Club House area to be a part of Christmas celebration. The revelries began with Santa’s arrival, which spread delight among the young attendees as he graciously distributed candies. His presence ignited the sense of wonder associated with Christmas. The celebration continued with a delightful cake cutting, quite literally offering slices of happiness.
Children brimming with joy and laughter were delightedly served with delectable snacks. To add a touch of magic to the festivities, children danced to the tunes of popular bollywood numbers specially composed for them. The highlight of the evening was The Secret Santa event. Children were invited to participate by bringing one modestly wrapped gift, not very expensive. Each child’s name was added to a chit, and Santa Claus randomly selected gifts from beneath the clubhouse’s Christmas tree. The lucky child received the gift of their choice by selecting a name from the chit bowl. This heart-warming tradition of giving and receiving not only brought smiles to the faces of the children but also instilled in them the value of generosity and gratitude.
Pooja Jain gracefully anchored the entire Christmas event. The commendable planning and efforts of the entire cultural team, led by Babita Jain, made the event successful and brought smiles on the faces of children, their parents and everyone alike.
The convergence of health and happiness created an unforgettable day of togetherness and celebration.
In the spirit of this joyous season, we extend our warmest wishes for a
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
to all our esteemed readers,
filled with love, laughter, and limitless possibilities for the year ahead.
