On August 26, 2024, Team ARA organized a beautiful and devotional celebration for Shri Krishna Janma-shtami at the DVCC venue. The event, which began at 6pm, brought together families and residents to celebrate Lord Krishna’s birth with devotion, joy, and community spirit.
The evening started with a serene bhajan compilation by Ms Shruti Goenka, followed by a soulful rendition of “Shri Krishna Govind Hare Murari” by Akshat Mittal. The children’s performances were a highlight, with a mesmerizing Kathak dance by Mira Nahata, Avni Nahata, Krisha Nahata, and Nyrah Sharma on the song “Kanha Re,” showcasing both their talent and devotion. Anishka Gupta’s solo Kathak was another enchanting moment, leaving the audience in awe.
One of the most vibrant segments was a group dance by children, including performers featuring kids Mira nahata, Avni nahata, Krisha nahata, Nyrah sharma, Nandita gupta, Anaisha , Reyan Sharma, Divyam rai, Divit rai, Aviraj rai, Neil nahata, Atulya narwar, Dev sodhani, Rihaan and Diya sodhani, Their performance on a medley of bhajans was a joyous spectacle.
The ladies of the community, including Ms Parul Mittal, Ms Neetu Sharma, Ms Vaidehi Sodhani and Ms Aseema Gupta, performed a set of devotional dance to “Radhe Govind Krishna Murari” and “Tum Prem Ho” adding to the spiritual ambiance of the event. A special quiz on Lord Krishna’s life conducted by Mr. Samrat Yadav engaged the children, sparking their curiosity and enthusiasm. The quiz was a hit, providing an interactive way for children to learn more about the life of Lord Krishna.
The smooth flow of the event was due, in large part, to the excellent compering by Ms Shakun Maithel Mandal. Her lively and engaging style kept the audience entertained and ensured the program ran seamlessly.
As the evening drew closer to its culmination, the Aarti brought the entire gathering together in a moment of deep devotion. After the Aarti, attendees enjoyed tea, refreshments, and the much-anticipated Prasad, generously sponsored by Ms Aruna and Mr. Bharat Gupta. The event’s success was a testament to the dedication and hard work of several individuals. Special thanks were extended to Ms Shruti Goenka and Ms Rupinder Bawa for the stunning “Krishna Zhanki” decorations. The Managing Committee members, along with the ARA staff members, ensured the smooth running of the event, from refreshments to coordination. In conclusion, the Shri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations were not only a spiritual and cultural delight but also a heartwarming display of community unity. The event left everyone with lasting memories, and Team ARA looks forward to organizing more such joyous gatherings in the future.
