On a sunny day, August 4, 2024, something amazing happened in B Block Sector 30 Park. Children and residents came together to plant trees and make their neighborhood a greener, happier place.
The excitement began when saplings were given to everyone, including kids and adults. They got to choose from many types of trees like Arjun, Moringa, jamun, guava, and mango. The children were thrilled to get their hands dirty and plant their very own trees! With the help of local gardeners and the RWA, everyone learned how to plant and take care of their new green friends. The best part? The kids got to do it all without disturbing their playground.
But this wasn’t just a one-day event. The people of Rail Vihar have been learning about the importance of trees and taking care of the environment for a long time. Kids like Divya, Navreen, Rani, Amlan, Avi, Niharika, and Devina have been leading the way, showing everyone that even small actions can make a big difference.
As Vijay Luthra, a happy grandfather, said, “Planting trees with my granddaughter was a wonderful experience!” Navreen, a young enthusiast, exclaimed, “I love growing trees because I’ll get to enjoy the fruits with my friends!” And Divya sweetly shared, “Growing trees makes me happy because they feel like part of my family.” This special event reminded everyone that each one of us can make a difference by planting and nurturing one tree at a time. Let’s keep growing and caring for our green friends!
