Imperial Court residents came together on Independence Day to celebrate the spirit of freedom and unity. The day commenced with a display of creativity by the community’s young residents, who crafted beautiful artwork expressing their thoughts on ‘India at the Olympics’.
Their efforts showcased their artistic talents and highlighted their pride in India’s achievements on the global stage.
At 10 AM, the young Indians took centre stage to hoist the national flag, filling the air with a sense of pride and patriotism. The flag-raising ceremony was followed by the Rashtriya Gaan, uniting everyone in reverence and reflection.
The event continued with residents engaging in conversations over a spread of delicious samosas, snacks, and refreshing drinks. The camaraderie among the attendees was palpable as they braved the humid weather to honour the significance of this special day.
After a refreshing rain shower, the community reconvened in the evening to celebrate in true Dilli Wala style. The festivities kicked off with the Dhol beats, inviting everyone to join in the fun.The sky was filled with vibrant kites and hot air lanterns, symbolizing freedom and aspirations soaring high.
The evening was a joyous affair with residents dancing, indulging in Masti, and savouring a spread of snacks and drinks.
Independence Day was a blend of tradition, celebration, and community spirit, truly embodying the essence of India’s diversity and unity.
