Do not judge a book by its cover, the old adage goes! The motley group of people belonging to diverse professional backgrounds gathered on sunny spring morning may have been beguiling to any onlooker but for those touched by their goodwill gestures, they are change agents who strongly believe in philanthropy as personal and spiritual growth.
This year, Books For All (BFA) committee members and volunteers – most of them residents of Sector-93 – got together for the Annual Volunteer Meet on 5 March, at the Biodiversity Park, Sec-137, Noida, for a fun-filled day of games, food, laughter and exchange of ideas.
The Noida Biodiversity Park, with its lush greens spanning 75 acres, was the perfect setting for this meet. Departing from traditional indoor venues, BFA opted for this scenic location to inject new energy into their annual gathering. Lata Agarwal and Sudha Singhal led the event, fostering collaboration. Deepa Sengar took the opportunity to briefly introduce BFA’s Six Impact Missions, recognizing that some volunteers were new and needed guidance. She also welcomed ideas and suggestions aligned with these missions, emphasizing BFA’s commitment to improvement, sustainability, and scalability.
Interesting and energizing outdoor games followed, promoting laughter and fellowship. Pravin Bhasin, Rajinder Gupta and many other founding members and senior mentors recounted the journey of Books for All and their loving association with the organization. The outdoor setting allowed attendees to express themselves freely, creating memorable experiences.
