A Block- My Colony, My Pride

The Year That Went By -The First Inning

The Club has had a large variety of events and activities organized throughout the last year 2023 drawing humongous crowds which reflects a strong sense of community engagement and enthusiasm among the Residents.

Here’s a brief recap of the highlights:

Joint Celebration on 26th January: Collaborating with the DCWA Club to mark the Republic Day Celebrations.

Holi Celebration: A lively and colorful celebration with the participation of over 400 members drawing rave reviews.

Musical Evenings: Organizing musical events multiple times almost twice a month, adding an artistic and entertaining touch to community life.

Baisakhi Celebration: Bringing together and celebrating jointly with DCWA where more than 350 members came forward to celebrate the festival.

Sports and Recreational Activities: Offering a variety of activities like basketball, football, badminton, skating, chess, table tennis, arts and crafts, music, and yoga.

Summer Camp: Successfully organizing the first-ever summer camp, well-received by both parents and children, emphasizing physical and creative engagement of children.

Plantation Drive: Contributing to the environment through a community-wide initiative and educating the children on the ethos at an early age.

Independence Day: Hosting jointly with DCWA, an event to celebrate the country’s independence, showcasing patriotic spirit. This function was attended by over 400 Residents of My Colony, My Pride.

Teej Celebration: A festive colourful gathering specifically for the ladies in the Colony who came out in large numbers.

Dandiya Nights: Bringing cultural richness through traditional dance events. For two days the Colony was buzzing with the Dandiya Dance Extravaganza to over 300 Residents each evening.

Ramlila by Children: Involving the younger members of the Colony in a cultural and theatrical performance. Superb show with whole hearted participation of the Colony Residents.

Diwali Mela: Celebrating the festival of lights with a cultural program and festivities and a big first bringing in hundreds of Residents to the Happening Joint known as DCAs (JCO) Club.

Christmas Celebration: Spreading joy and festive spirit in the community and going in with Carols and Santa was a roaring success.

New Year’s Eve: Ringing in the new year with anticipation and celebration. The New Year Eve was attended by more than 250 Residents of all ages. Everyone danced with Dhol beat’s and DJ beats. Food and snacks were sumptuous and mouth-watering. Lots of youngsters were enjoying their new year Eve with their families and friends. The event went till 2 o clock and was attended by Sh. Madan Lal jì, Anita Basoya and Sandeep Basoya jì.

This impressive array of events highlights the commitment of the RWA to foster a lively and engaging environment. Here’s to more successful and enjoyable times ahead for the A Block Association and Club!
