Nothing is worse than missing an opportunity to transform the world in whatever little way by using whatever resources which are available to us. This has been the guid-ing force for Anant Vee Bagrodia who has played a pioneering role in unleashing several path breaking initiatives in fulfilling numerous philanthropic causes at such an early age of his life. At a tender age 15 years, Anant has already accomplished more than what many might not be able to achieve in their lifetime. His concern for the poor has motivated him to create bedding for the destitute and homeless by recycling waste. By using a simple yet effective technology of stuffing used Rice Bags with recycled cotton and stitching it together, Anant has created mattresses for the homeless so that they do not have to spend cold winter nights on bare grounds.
He has set up a cottage industry on the outskirts of Delhi where these mattresses are produced which also generates employment for the needy. He is looking at ways to raise funds to finance this project to provide it the much needed scalability. While this may be a flagship humanitarian mission for Anant, he is also deeply involved in rendering meaningful education to children from the weaker strata of the society. In fact, while teaching such children online during the Covid induced lockdown, Anant came up with an idea to expand the scope of this noble work by developing a virtual Application for MCD schools where young Education volunteers like him could centrally register themselves to teach primary school students and get connected to a school of their choice. Never to miss a chance to usher in improvement and awareness on any area of social relevance, Anant has created a website (http://www.gk2wastemanagement.in/) to aid Waste Management. Besides providing information on household waste segregation, this website also connects the households with the authorized recycler for each specific category of such waste to ensure its proper disposal. His love for animals has led Anant to work on developing makeshift shelters for stray dogs by using basic material like Drums and discarded clothing. With such a versatile canvas, Anant truly demonstrates his `Never say Die` attitude.
A resident of S Block in GK-2, Anant believes in taking up cudgels to solve a problem himself rather than wait for the others to take the lead. He attributes his streak for generosity to the culture of benevolence that runs in his family. A Class 11 student of Vasant Valley School, Anant intends to take up entrepreneurship in the field of Data Analysis.
