Medical Centre of Apollo Hospital Also Opened

The primary reaction to Club 26’s new look is “Oh wow.” The entire look has been revamped, with the restaurant now bearing a brighter and plusher look with goblet yellow-coloured halogen coloured lights and swede chairs in grey and purple colour.
The restaurant can now seat 91 people, and much like other popular restaurants, it now features a hostess stand at the entry where guests will be greeted and escorted to their seats. In addition to the existing 18-seat Saffron Room (which has been given a new look), three more semi-private dining spaces have been created. One of them, Ginger, is glass-enclosed and can seat 8–10 people.
Two open cabanas, Cinnamon and Cayenne, have been made with white chiffon curtains adorning the doors. These can be used to organise small get-togethers or kitty parties. All the wooden tables were done up with silk runners and flower arrangements. The restaurant has been designed by Shaza, who has added a raised platform in the centre of the hall, which can be used for live singing, a small band, or even a dancing area. Olive green acoustic panels have been put up along the entire restaurant for an improved sound experience, with light grey blinds covering the windows.
The service area has been separated into another room with a swing door, which means that guests will no longer be disturbed by the clutter, clanging, and noise of the dishes and cutlery being replenished. It also features a dumbwaiter (a mini-lift that can carry food from the kitchen on the ground floor to the restaurant on the first floor). A big round of applause to the Club 26 MC for the new restaurant, whose ambience is no less than that seen at leading 5-star hotels.
Alongside the restaurant, a Medical Centre was also inaugurated by Raj Raina and Dr Saurabh of Apollo Hospital. This medical centre will be run by Apollo Hospital. A doctor (general physician) and nursing staff from Apollo Hospital will be available for free consultation. This will be free not only for Club members but also for senior citizens (above 70 years old), irrespective of whether they are Club members or not). The anti-rabies injection will be provided free of charge to all residents of Sec 26 in the unfortunate event of a dog bite. The medical centre will be operational from 10 to 11 a.m. and open Mon through Sat (including Tuesday).
RK Khosla, President of Club-26, cut the ribbon to open the restaurant. A lovely cultural programme was held on the lawns on the evening of Oct 30 to celebrate the launch of the restaurant and medical centre. White and blue-coloured balloons were released to commemorate the launch. A dance troupe engaged the audience, and a small band featuring two singers belted out golden oldies. The all-time favourite Tambola saw active participation, and people took advantage of the cool environs to meet and greet their friends. Anita Bhalwar and Ashok Srivastava, as usual, did an excellent job of compeering the event. Many were heard appreciating the food and the arrangements made. But the icing on the cake was the santoor-wadak, who played mesmerising music on the Club restaurant’s centre platform.
