As customary for the past several years DLF’s oldest welfare association QERWA celebrated the 76th Republic Day this year too with full honour and enthusiasm on 26th Jan’25 at the front lawn of DLF-1 F-Block Community Centre.
Baljeet Singh Rathee, President QERWA, gave the welcome address and outlined the development works carried out by the Association. Rama Rani Rathee also addressed the gathering.
Col. Kanwar Pratap Singh was the chief guest who unfurled the national flag and gave an inspirational speech highlighting nationalism and India’s growing global stature. For children, he gave the mantra of being always happy, developing hobbies, inculcating good values, being truthful, and respecting the elders.
This year the celebrations were on a grand scale with scintillating dance, patriotic songs, and Yoga performances by Shakti girls of Sarvam Foundation, young students of CCA School Sector-4, Bachpanshaalaa of DLF-2 and Spreading Smiles of DLF-3.
The programme was well attended and was concluded with the ‘Vote Of Thanks’ by Brij Mohan Mehta, QERWA Vice President DLF-4 and it was followed by tea & snacks.
