Jt. Commissioner, Delhi Police was the Chief Guest
In view of the increasing number of cybercrimes and frauds encountered by several traders and residents, the G.K.1 market federation took the initiative to hold a Digital Fraud Awareness meet to prevent cybercrimes, which have affected hundreds of residents in and around GK 1 in the past few months. Some have lost crores of rupees. Some gangs have been busted by Delhi Police but many fraudsters are on the run. Guest of honors was Sanjay Jain, Jt. Commissioner Delhi Police & Shikha Rai, local councilor.
Guest speakers emphasized and advised mobile users to be aware of cybercrimes and not to fall prey to criminals by responding to unknown calls especially international calls. People should not respond to scary, threatening calls. A presentation was made regarding cybercrime, modus operandi and digital arrests. Several tips were given by Ankur Sejwal, SI, Delhi Police, cyber cell. A large number of G K 1 and neighborhood residents attended the meet and thanked Delhi Police and the office bearers of the market federation.
