LB & LBE Need To Take Charge Of Our Access Roads
As commercialisation hits its peak across the road in Hazipur and more and more establishments take over, the number of visitors visiting the market and malls have increased multi-fold. None of the big complexes or malls have underground parking; of course, with the pouring in of visitors, there is hardly any parking space left in front of the tiny lanes of these shops.
With crunching space, a new valet scheme is taking shape where the visitors to these malls and establishments are being given Valet service, for their ease. The valet contract brings their car and parks them on our side of the road in our access road and service lane.
The valet parks and then runs back by either using the foot-over bridge or a fellow biker waiting to take him back sooner.
The situation gets worse when it is no more about just a couple of cars but a battery of cars and a system whereby a dedicated parking navigator has been stationed in their shiny yellow reflective jackets making sure their cars are being parked in our service lanes.
The valet contractor is occupying our lanes; it is becoming increasingly difficult to access our own society due to the traffic caused with these cars being parked.
Is it legal to occupy public land and, more importantly, access roads to thousands of apartment owners for the benefit of a valet contractor and the malls across the road? Both our societies need to intervene and work with the Noida Authority to make sure that this new nuisance is stopped in its tracks.
