After eight years of anticipation, IT & KT residents are finally celebrating the grand opening of two state-of-the-art sports clubs. This milestone, which the community has eagerly awaited, was made possible through the Interim Residents Representative Managing Committee (IRRMC)’s tireless efforts, which has worked relentlessly over the past 10 months to turn this vision into reality.
The IRRMC, alongside residents, played a pivotal role in overseeing these much-needed sports facilities’ development. Their work, to fulfil the community’s needs, has resulted in these clubs’ opening, promising to significantly enhance the quality of life for all.
Club-1, located opposite KT-9/ 10, and Club-2, opposite KT-12/14, boast amenities designed to cater to a wide range. Common features include an indoor gym, sauna, and steam baths, a kids’ room, cards and chess room, a conference hall, and party halls.
The ground floors feature a swimming pool, while the first floors are dedicated to recreational activities such as billiards, pool and Table Tennis (three nos. in each club along with special flooring with antiskid PVC sheeting).
The facilities are designed to be accessible to everyone, providing ample opportunities for fitness and socializing.
While the clubs’ opening is an achievement, the IRRMC remains dedicated to continuous improvement. There is always room for growth; efforts to further enhance the facilities are ongoing. Collaborating with experts, the IRRMC is committed to ensuring these stay cutting-edge.
The clubs promote fitness and create spaces where residents can connect. Tournaments and fitness workshops will keep everyone active, making these an integral part.
The clubs’ opening stands as a testament to our collaboration. It demonstrates how an effort can bring about lasting change. As the ribbon was cut on Friday, 20 December 2024, it was clear that these were the symbols of our determination.
The journey to this point may have been long, but the rewards are evident: a healthier and more connected community.
With the IRRMC’s and residents’ work paving the way, the sports clubs’ future looks bright. There is no doubt that these will continue to evolve, offering greater opportunities for fitness and fun.
