Special Wednesday
Every Wednesday is special in the calendar of Senior citizens Forum PW. 25 December 2024 which happened to be the last Wednesday of the month as well as of the year was celebrated with full enthusiasm as a mix of entertainment and tribute to the Gems of India i.e. Raj Kapoor, the greatest Showman of India and Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the former Prime Minister of India. 25 December was also the Birthday of Madan Mohan Malviya, the legendary freedom fighter statesman and educationist who established Banaras Hindu University.
Members participated actively in the discussions and remembered the great sacrifices and achievements of the personalities. while paying their respects and tribute. Members also remembered the sacrifices made by the family of Guru Govind Singh ji who had sacrificed his four sons during the week from 21st to 26th December against the oppressions by Muslim rulers to save Hindu & Sikh religion and also mentored about the importance of Tulsi Pujan day which also happened to fall on this day. In the end, members paid their tributes to legendary showman Raj Kapoor by singing the songs from his films. Program ended with hot tea and snacks.
