Ever since SLRWA have come in the office, they are working relentlessly for the upliftment of the colony and the benefit of the residents. They had been working to get the community centre clean as many construction sites would send their debris, waste material and sometimes even the garbage-carrying vehicles would dump their load there. It was a big task in itself to get the grounds clear so that proper playing fields for those who are interested in the sports, would find a niche there. The task was lengthy and troublesome but they have secured the grounds now and put it under lock and key now to be developed only for the residents of Sushant Lok blocks.
The second most difficult task was to request the police chowki present in the premises of the community centre to vacate the place of the building; which was originally built for the recreation purpose for the residents of Sushant Lok. Mr. Dalwani, the General Secretary of the SLRWA has written a letter to the Commissioner of the Police to point out the details as the Police Station building has been constructed and is operational in sector 43 for long, though the Choki has been shifted there but now they left the Narcotics cell behind besides occupying most of the rooms for their staff use. His plea was that the Sushant Lok is a colony spread over approximately 700 acres, inhabiting 40000 residents, who in turn need a place to congregate or recreate casually or in their time of need. They need a place to do so, children need a place to play and functions need to be organized so if they could vacate the Community Centre for the general good and take cognizance of the need of the residents, SLRWA will be grateful for their action.
