Cultural Dance Extravaganza
Noidaites were in a treat as a vibrant lineup of artistes from various parts of Noida took to the stage. Majority of the participants were from Ram Vihar, but some were also from other Sectors of Noida, Delhi and Gurugram. This was on Saturday December 7, 2024, at AVCC (Arun Vihar Community Centre), Kailash Hall, Sec 37, Noida. This was in collaboration with Abhivyakti Cultural Forum produced and directed by non other than Abha Atray.
Mrs Sirohi, Principal of Cambridge School(Retd), Noida, presided over the occasion as the Chief Guest. The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp by Mrs Sirohi and AVCC Vice President Col Pathania. The setup was very warm, cosy and inviting.
The event featured a wide array of performances including dance, music and masti, showcasing the diverse talents of the participants. The show took off with a loud cheering. The evening began with a powerful dance performance ‘NavKalpana’. This was followed by many solo, duet and group dances paying tribute to legendary Bollywood dancers like Madhubala, Wahida Rehman, Helen, Meena Kumari, Asha Parekh, Rekha, Aishwarya, Shri Devi and Madhuri Dixit.
The stars were of various age groups starting from 14 years to mid 70s. Mother-daughters and daughters- in- law took the breath away with their scintillating performances showcasing the different eras of the Indian cinema. One had to guess who was the mother and daughter, and who was mother-in-law and daughter- in- law.
The hall was jam packed with the participants’ family members, friends and close associates. The programme sailed smoothly without any gap or interruption. The sound effect was too good and the selection of songs was great. The icing on the cake was the dance “ Nato Nato” presented by the twin sisters Aira and Arya (youngest participants).
The programme culminated with a finale where all 10 participants were from Ram Vihar. This was a dance on a medley of songs, the most popular of them being “Jhoothi Khayi Thi Kasam Jo Nibhayi Nai” from Stree 2.
The show was beautifully choreographed and well synchronized by our talented one in all AbhaAtray. All participants, in fact the complete Abhivyakti team left the audience spellbound. They left no stone unturned to give off their best and were cheered on enthusiastically.
Abhaji has proved that no matter how many odds are against you, you can still follow your dreams. She has a passion for theatre and encourages others also to believe in themselves. She has given a platform to young women to dream big and pursue their aspirations.
This is why Abhivyakti Forum is her creation which runs without any loss or gain and entertains the Noida crowd off and on.
A heartfelt salute to Abhaji and all the participants for their dedication and perfection. We hope and pray you reach greater heights and keep entertaining us with more of such dynamic shows.
