Residents of Suncity has always been concerned about different issues concerning the development of its residents whether it is children, senior citizens or families.

Like every year Suncity organized a day camp for underprivileged children on 16th November, the activities in the camp included drawing competition, magic show, games and races, gifts, food, and swings. The camp not only provided to show their skills but the children also had fun with magic shows and games. The residents of Suncity not only helped the event team in organizing this camp but also came forward with their contributions.

Kusum Sharma, chairperson of thw SRWA, also organized an art competition for suncity kids on 17th November 2024 which was a great success. It was pleasure to see young artists showcasing their talents in this competition. I personally appreciate and congratulate Kusum for organizing such activities.  Together we have shown them that they are loved and cared for your support and effort brought so much joy to these children.

Children’s Day, also popular as ‘Baal Diwas’, is celebrated in India every year on November 14 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru, the first prime minister of India. The importance of Children’s Day lies in its significant emphasis on recognizing the importance of a protected and healthy childhood Nehru saw in their innocent faces and sparkling eyes the future of India.”

His vision focused on children being the future of the nation and the foundation of society. In 1955, he established the Children’s Film Society India to give a platform to the issues of children. After Nehru passed away in 1964, the Indian Parliament passed a resolution to honour Nehru’s birthday as Children’s Day.

Additionally, the day brings issues to light about the difficulties faced by children worldwide, like poverty, healthcare, lack of education, and the prevalence of child labour.
