VarikshaRopan Samiti organised Deepmala by worshipping trees at Sheesham Park New Friends Colony on Dhanteras evening. This was the fifth year of celebrations.
Samiti members come with diyas and candles. Panditji performs Puja. This year Peepal, Sheesham, Kela,Vat, Amla, Belpathar, and Tulsi were worshipped.
The participants lit diyas, candles, etc. at the park at different locations.
They all gather at the entrance and then move towards peepal trees at the back side of the park by keeping lit candles in their hands.
After which, hot tea and snacks were served to all.
